Industrial | Transport Painter

Our Mount‑based industrial/transport painting business specialising in trucks, trailers and large industrial steel work. They pride themselves on high quality finishes, durability, and reliable service. They are growing and looking for someone who takes pride in their work to join the team.

The Role

As our Industrial / Transport Painter, you will be responsible for:

• Applying primers, protective coatings, topcoats - using spray, brush, roller
• Colour matching & finishing work (including custom graphics/decals)
• Ensuring all work meets industry standards for corrosion, weather & abrasion resistance
• Maintaining tools, painting equipment & work area tidy and safe
• Working with the team to plan jobs, meet deadlines, and ensure quality control

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience painting trucks, trailers, or industrial steel, with good examples of past work
• Competence with surface prep and coatings (including anti‑corrosion / industrial coatings)
• Ability to spray (airless or conventional), brush & roller; colour matching skills a plus
• Full NZ driver's licence preferred
• Strong attention to detail, good work ethic, reliable & punctual
• Commitment to safe working practices, including handling of hazardous materials

What We Offer

• Hourly rate: $32 - $36 per hour, depending on experience & skill
• Mon to Fri, 7am start
